Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhii Rebrov has announced the squad for the October 2024/2025 Nations League matches against the Czech Republic and Georgia. Oleksiy Hutsulyak and Bohdan Mykhailichenko have been called up again, Dmytro Kryskiv received his debut call-up, and team captain Andriy Yarmolenko was only included in the reserve list. This was reported by the Ukrainian Football Association, UNN reports.
"Serhii Rebrov has announced the squad of the Ukrainian national team for the October matches of the 2024/2025 Nations League. The main list includes 25 performers, and eight more players are on the reserve list. We note the debut call-up of Dmytro Kryskiv to the national team," the UAF said in a statement.
In total, Rebrov called up the following players: goalkeepers - Heorhiy Bushchan, Anatoliy Trubin, Andriy Lunin; defenders - Oleksandr Tymchyk, Mykola Matvienko, Yukhym Konoplya, Valeriy Bondar, Bohdan Mykhailichenko, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Ilya Zabarnyi, Maksym Taloverov.
Midfielders: Mykola Shaparenko, Volodymyr Brazhko, Vladyslav Kabaev, Oleksandr Pikhalenok, Taras Stepanenko, Heorhiy Sudakov, Dmytro Kryskiv, Oleksandr Zubkov, Oleksiy Hutsulyak, Mykhailo Mudryk, Viktor Tsygankov.
Forwards: Roman Yaremchuk, Vladyslav Vanat, and Artem Dovbyk, who has recovered from injury.
The reserve list includes Dmytro Riznyk, Oleksandr Svatok, Oleksandr Martyniuk, Andriy Yarmolenko, Vitaliy Buyalsky, Artem Bondarenko, Danylo Sikan and Oleksandr Nazarenko.
The Ukrainian national team will play its matches in Poland:
October 11 in Poznan against Georgia;
October 14 in Wroclaw against the Czech Republic.

The Ukrainian national team suffered its second defeat in the 2024/25 Nations League, losing to the Czech Republic with a score of 2-3. This was the third official meeting between the teams, the previous two in 2018 ended in victories for Ukraine.
