According to the grid operator Stromnetz Berlin, the power supply disappeared around 10:00 PM in the Nikolassee district in the southwest of the city. Full power restoration was achieved by 11:35 PM.
Some consumers were reconnected around 10:40 PM. In total, the outage affected 1,314 households. The operator has not yet named the cause of the accident.

During the outage, police increased patrols in the area.
"Our officers are now more visible there to be accessible and strengthen the sense of security among residents," the law enforcement officers reported.
At that time, the cause was arson of cable infrastructure, and power restoration lasted several days.
