Energy facilities in Mykolaiv and Odesa regions were attacked by enemy forces, and blackouts continued in Kharkiv region. Over the past day, production from renewable energy sources was limited, and excess electricity was transferred to Poland. This was reported on Wednesday by the Ministry of Energy, UNN writes.

Consequences of enemy shelling

"The enemy attacked power facilities in the south of the country," the Energy Ministry said.

In particular, the attack allegedly resulted in the fire of equipment at a high-voltage substation in Mykolaiv region

To eliminate the consequences of the attack, two high-voltage lines were disconnected, and consumers in Kherson and partially in Mykolaiv regions were completely cut off. As of the morning, all consumers have been supplied with power, the ministry said.

In addition, the shelling reportedly damaged a power generation facility in Odesa region and damaged production facilities. There were no power outages.

Generation, transmission and consumption

Over the past day, due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, outage schedules were applied in the Kharkiv region, the agency said.

During the day, due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, the active generation of electricity by SPPs, the transmission system operator, as indicated, limited the generation of electricity from RES.

The transmission system operator also transferred surplus electricity to Poland in an emergency, the ministry added.

Ukraine's energy system is said to be stable and balanced.

Networks status

In the evening, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Poltava region reportedly tripped, resulting in power outages for household consumers of distribution system operators in Kharkiv and Poltava regions, industry, and the railroad (disruptions in train traffic were reported). Within an hour, all consumers were supplied with power, the Energy Ministry said.

Situation at ZNPP

"The water level in the cooling pond is 15.49 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.

Import and export

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast to reach 400 MW. Some exports are also expected.
