More than 48% of Ukrainians are ready for the implementation of unpopular decisions, including tax increases, in order to receive Western funding. This is reported by UNN with reference to a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

The survey was conducted between April 20 and 27 in all regions under the control of the Government of Ukraine. 1,005 Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and older were interviewed.
48% of respondents chose the option that Ukraine should approve all necessary decisions, even unpopular ones and tax increases, to receive funding.
In contrast, 30% of those surveyed believe that unpopular decisions and tax hikes should be rejected, even if it means a lack of money for defense or social programs.
Another 22% of respondents were unable to decide on their opinion.

On April 23, the European Union officially approved the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine and increased sanctions pressure on Russia. It adopted the 20th package of sanctions in response to the escalation of the war of aggression against Ukraine.
