Former president and prime minister, and now deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, known for his aggressive social media posts, has joined the creation of new social studies textbooks for high school students. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

As noted by Ukrainian foreign intelligence, the Russian Ministry of Education does not hide the fact that Medvedev personally edited texts and made corrections, which were subsequently integrated not only into textbooks but also into federal educational standards.
At the same time, this is not a new practice, as the Russian educational space has been under the control of ideologues close to the government for several years.
In particular, Vladimir Medinsky previously supervised history and social studies textbooks, which were repeatedly criticized by educators for their blatant bias and distortion of facts. These textbooks clearly show the imposition of the official state line: from rethinking the Soviet past to justifying the current policy of the Kremlin. It is indicative that Putin's name is mentioned in textbooks many times more often than historical figures such as Peter the Great, and significantly more often than in previous educational materials. This is no longer education, but a cult of personality woven into the school curriculum.
