Diplomats from Israel and Lebanon will hold the next round of peace talks in Rome on August 4. A Lebanese official told Reuters, reports UNN.
For three months, the two countries have held face-to-face talks mediated by the United States, seeking to end the conflict between the Israeli army and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.
The fighting erupted on March 2 after Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in response to its first strikes on Iran.

However, despite renewed tensions between the United States and Iran in recent weeks, Israel has not carried out new strikes, and fighting in Lebanon has noticeably subsided.
Last month, a framework agreement was reached that included the future disarmament of Hezbollah and a phased withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon.
Yesterday, Lebanese army personnel were spotted in the region, but the Israel Defense Forces remain there for now.

Some senior Israeli government officials want to continue the occupation of a "buffer zone" in southern Lebanon, which they say is necessary to protect their own settlements in the north.
The talks have also not yet included Hezbollah.
