Iran has allowed a Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel to pass through the Strait of Hormuz amid the war and the tense situation in the region. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

According to LSEG shipping data, the Qatari tanker was heading through the Strait of Hormuz to Pakistan on Saturday.
Reuters sources claim that Tehran approved the vessel's passage to build confidence with Qatar and Pakistan, which are acting as mediators in the war.
If the voyage is successfully completed, it will mark the first passage of a Qatari LNG tanker through the Strait of Hormuz since the conflict began.
Qatar is one of the world's largest exporters of liquefied natural gas.
Qatar is unofficially participating in mediation efforts between the parties to the conflict, while allowing Pakistan to publicly play the role of the main mediator.
