A TCC official demanded $2,500 for deleting data regarding a conscript's wanted status. The lieutenant colonel was detained while receiving the funds.

In the Ternopil region, a 37-year-old lieutenant colonel—the head of the documentary support group of one of the district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRSSC)—has been exposed for promising to remove a person liable for military service from the wanted list in exchange for money, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, in May 2024, the official established a scheme for obtaining illegal benefits in exchange for resolving military registration issues. He assured a citizen that for 2,500 USD, he could use "official connections" to remove information about the individual's wanted status from the information system.

On June 9, 2024, he was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving the funds.

Under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sphere of the Western Region, he was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court ordered a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative of bail; his suspension from office is also being considered.
