During the night of August 12, large-scale power outages began in a number of cities and districts in occupied Crimea following a series of explosions and reports of a drone attack. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," writes UNN.

According to local residents, explosions were heard in the Yalta area and on Crimea’s Southern Coast. In Sevastopol, powerful explosions, the operation of Russian air defenses, and drones flying overhead were reported.
Explosions and gunfire were also recorded near a mobile gas-turbine power plant and the "Sevastopol" substation. According to one report, four drones were allegedly shot down near the mobile gas-turbine power plant. Separately, an explosion and a flash were reported in the area of the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant.
Blackout engulfed cities and districts of Crimea
Following the explosions in Sevastopol and Bakhchysarai District, power outages began. In various parts of the peninsula, the electricity periodically went out and came back on.
At around 00:41, a complete power outage was reported in Yevpatoria, Saky, Mykolaivka, Berehove, Pishchane, and Uhlove. Later, power outages were also reported in Simferopol.
At the same time, drones were observed flying over Bakhchysarai District, Lenine District, and near Shcholkine. Reports of explosions, air defense operations, and power supply disruptions continue to come in.
