The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to quickly process and immediately allocate UAH 2.7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of several settlements as part of a pilot project. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.
Shmyhal reminded that last year, a pilot project was launched to comprehensively restore a number of settlements. In particular, these are Yahidne in Chernihiv region, Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson region, Tsyrkuny in Kharkiv region, and Trostianets in Sumy region.
"Today, the Government has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to quickly process and immediately allocate UAH 2.7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of these settlements. These funds should be used to restore critical infrastructure, repair and build new residential buildings, kindergartens, outpatient clinics, protective structures and administrative buildings," said Shmyhal.
In addition, he said, the government has authorized the First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure to extend the agreement with the EIB to build a water supply and sewage system in Mykolaiv.
