Enemy attacks have left some residents in 4 regions without power; due to enemy strikes on gas production facilities in two regions, significant equipment damage has been recorded, and there are fatalities and injuries among energy workers; no blackout schedules are expected, the Ministry of Energy reported on Tuesday, UNN writes.
Enemy attacks
"As a result of shelling of energy infrastructure facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions remain temporarily without electricity supply," the Ministry of Energy reported.
As indicated, energy workers are operating in an intensified mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock.
"Also tonight, the enemy carried out an attack on gas production facilities in Poltava and Kharkiv regions—significant equipment damage was recorded. Specialists are working on-site, and an assessment of the consequences is underway. Unfortunately, due to Russia's treacherous actions, we have losses among colleagues—as a result of combined strikes, 3 employees of a gas production facility were killed and 14 sustained injuries of varying severity," the ministry reported.
They are being provided with the necessary medical assistance, as stated.
"Also, during the liquidation of the fire, 2 SES employees were killed and 23 were injured. Three of them are in critical condition, and medics are fighting for their lives," the Ministry of Energy noted.
Regarding the application of restrictions
"The application of restrictions is not forecasted for today," the Ministry of Energy indicated.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has decreased amid cloudless weather in all regions.
"Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours—from 10:00 to 16:00. In the evening hours, we ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity sparingly—from 18:00 to 22:00. This helps reduce the load on the system," the Ministry of Energy statement reads.
