The shooter turned out to be Dmytro Vasylchenkov, a former military man and native of Russia. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 2004 in Donetsk region, and then returned to service in 2022.

The terrorist who carried out the shooting in Kyiv, killed and wounded people, and was later eliminated by police special forces, is Dmytro Vasylchenkov, born in 1968, a native of Russia. At the same time, information about his possible involvement in the structures of the Russian army has not been confirmed. In the capital of Ukraine, he lived at the address: Demiivska Street, 35, apt. 176. Hlahola also published data on the Russian city where the terrorist might have lived for some time. This refers to Ryazan, the exact address is Yesenina Street, 112, apt. 187.

As Hlahola noted, the eliminated terrorist is a former Ukrainian serviceman who served until 2004 in Donetsk region.

UNN also reported that among the victims of the shooting in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv was an entire family: a 10-year-old boy and his father were killed on the spot, and the 30-year-old mother died in the hospital.
