On the eve of the elections in the United States, Ukraine intends to hold a second summit with russia to achieve a fair peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.

According to sources, Kyiv is proposing to organize a meeting before the November elections in the United States, this time with the active participation of russia.
This move follows the first summit held in Switzerland last month, which was attended by representatives of more than 90 countries, but without russia. At that time, several countries sent only lower-level delegations, and an attempt to bring key countries from the global south on board failed, as some of them refused to sign the final statements.
Ukraine seeks to use the summit process as a way to achieve broad international agreement on principles that would form the basis of a just peace in the region before the US elections. The Swiss summit focused on nuclear security, food security, and the return of abducted children, which found support among some countries, but did not address direct military conflicts.
According to the Ukrainian official, plans for the second summit have already been confirmed, and active participation of allied states is expected.
In a speech at the Reagan Institute in Washington, D.C., President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for support in organizing a second summit to make it "more powerful and really decisive" in addressing pressing peace and security issues.
