The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the procedure for checking military registration documents at Ukrainian consulates and embassies abroad. UNN reports this, citing the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Previously, for men aged 18–60 to be able to perform any consular action, they had to present an e-military registration document generated no earlier than 72 hours before their visit to the consulate or embassy. Now it is sufficient to provide the consul with an e-military registration document valid at the time of the visit to the diplomatic mission for verification.
At the same time, a refusal will be issued in the following cases:
- the verification showed that the e-military registration document is invalid or that the data need to be updated;
- the applicant did not present a valid e-military registration document;
- the presented e-military registration document contains no confirmation
that the personal data are up to date.
An electronic military registration document is not required in the following cases:
- issuance of an identity document for returning to Ukraine;
- performing consular actions concerning children of Ukrainian citizens, one of whose parents is a foreign national or a stateless person;
- performing actions based on applications from Ukrainian citizens who are under arrest, detained, or deprived of their liberty abroad.
In the near future, Ukrainian citizens who are unable to log in to Reserve+ will be able to update their data through consulates and embassies
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Ministry of Defence, will also introduce the possibility of updating data through consular registration. For this, men will need to
- register for consular registration (if the person is not registered
for consular registration);
- update their data at the diplomatic mission
(if the person is already registered for consular registration).
Ukrainian citizens who cannot independently update their data through Reserve+ due to the absence of a tax identification number may personally contact the nearest Ukrainian embassy or consulate abroad to have one issued through the “e-Consul” system
