Russia launched 227 drones at Ukraine during the day, 220 of which were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Saturday, UNN writes.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on May 2 (from 08:00 to 19:00), the enemy attacked with 227 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones from the directions of: Shatalovo, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, Hvardiiske – TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea; about 135 of them were "Shaheds."
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 18:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 220 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones in the north, south, center, and west of the country. Hits by 7 strike UAVs were recorded at 6 locations, as well as the falling of downed drones (debris) at 5 locations
The attack continues; enemy UAVs are in the airspace.
