With a swimming pool and ultraviolet lamps: the Kyiv Zoo showed all-inclusive for pelicans in a warm winter house

The pelicans of Kyiv Zoo have moved to a warm winter house equipped with a swimming pool and special lamps, where they will be fed up to 2 kg of fish daily.
With the first snow, the pelicans in the Kyiv Zoo moved to a warm winter house located between the lakes behind the Central Entrance, UNN reports with reference to the Kyiv City State Administration.
"This is a very difficult and responsible event - to agree with every respectable bird to move to the pelican estate. From now on, the whole fussy family of 16 pink and 4 Dalmatian pelicans enjoys their winter apartments," the zoo says.
The birds' facilities include a swimming pool, large log perches, rocky slopes and hiking trails, heating, and special ultraviolet lamps for sunbathing.
The pelicans' all-inclusive includes freshly chilled young crucian carp, small sea fish of various species. A total of 1.5-2 kg per bird per day.
The Pelican House is located between the lakes behind the Main Entrance.

on Monday - from 12:00 to 15:00;
from Tuesday to Sunday - from 10:00 to 15:00.
The entrance to the zoo is open until 15:00, and you are allowed to stay on the territory until 16:30.
