Health Minister Viktor Lyashka claims that servicemen serving as medics are not transferred to assault brigades, and if such cases do exist, the command of the Medical Forces should be informed so that they can respond appropriately. According to him, there were no orders from the commanders of either the Land Forces or the Medical Forces to do so. He stated this during a telethon, UNN reports.
I, as a member of the government, have communication with the Minister of Defense, and last week the Committee on National Health considered the issue of the draft laws on MSEC, on mental health, and one of the questions was what is happening, whether the facts are confirmed when doctors are reassigned to the Army and sent to assault brigades. Representatives of the Medical Forces Command who were at the committee said that there are no such cases, and if they do occur, the Medical Forces Command should be informed so that they can respond appropriately. There were no orders from the commanders of either the Land Forces or the Medical Forces to do so
