Kyiv • UNN
DIU reports the start of a massive drone and missile strike on energy and military-industrial complex facilities. The enemy plans a prolonged attack to overwhelm air defense systems.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs that "Russia has launched a combined prolonged air strike on critical facilities in Ukraine," UNN reports.
On May 13, 2026, the aggressor state Russia launched a combined air attack against Ukraine, which may be of a prolonged nature. In the first wave of the attack, the aggressor is using a significant number of strike drones to overload Ukraine's air defense system and hit civilian targets. Subsequently, Russia plans to use a significant number of air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, as well as ballistic missiles
The GUR stated:
Moscow's targets are critical infrastructure and life-support facilities of major cities, including energy, defense industry enterprises, and government buildings
"In this way, Russia, which rejected truce proposals, seeks once again to influence Ukraine's resilience in the war for freedom," the GUR emphasized.
"The GUR of the MoD of Ukraine reminds of the importance of responding to air raid signals and — as always in such cases — using shelters. Hold the line!" the intelligence service stressed.
