Sumy region: Russian army shells four communities in border area

The Russian army attacked four communities in Sumy region, firing about 70 shells, causing deaths and damage to buildings.
The Russian military shelled residents of four communities in Sumy region. According to the data of the local JFO, the invaders made 12 attacks, firing more than six dozen shells. On the first day of the 68 explosions were heard in the region on the first day of the new year, UNN reports.
During the day, Russians fired 12 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 68 explosions were recorded. The following areas came under fire Khotyn, Krasnopil, Velykopysarivska and Esman communities.

As clarified by the DIA, as of 21.00 on January 1, 2024, they were fixed:
In Esman community: mortar shelling (4 explosions), shelling with artillery (4 explosions).
In addition, a Shahed UAV hit (1 explosion) was recorded in Esman village into a 2-storey apartment building. As a result, people died and the building was partially destroyed.
The enemy fired at the Krasnopilska community with artillery (11 explosions) and mortars (9 explosions).
They attacked Khotyn community with mortars (11 explosions). And the residents of Velykopysarivska community was attacked with mortars (8 explosions) and AGS (20 explosions).
