Snow and ice are expected in Kyiv in the coming days. The police and city authorities urge drivers to be careful and use public transportation if possible
Snow is expected in Kyiv in the coming days, and sometimes ice in some places. The police call on drivers to take care of road safety, and the city authorities asks to use public transportation if possible, UNN reports.
Drivers, be careful while driving, monitor the road situation and and follow the traffic rules. Pedestrians, cross the road only in designated areas and use use reflective elements. We urge all road users to be especially attentive, and to call 112 if necessary.

According to the Ukrainian Weather Center, precipitation is expected in Kyiv tomorrow in the form of snow and ice on the roads.
In turn, the city authorities are urging drivers not to park their cars on the streets during snowfall not to park their cars along roadsides and on sidewalks.
In case of deteriorating weather conditions, do not go to the city by car in order not to create traffic jams, as snowplows and other emergency services.

In the afternoon, the utility company prepared road equipment for to treat the streets. In total, Kyivavtodor has prepared 533 units of of special equipment. To treat the pavement, 17.3 thousand tons of salt and 54.5 thousand tons of sand.
