Slovakia's border with Ukraine has been unblocked, up to 400 trucks are in line to enter - Demchenko
Kyiv • UNN
The Ukrainian-Slovak border has been unblocked, with about 400 trucks queuing to enter Ukraine
The Ukrainian-Slovak border has been unblocked as of this morning. About 400 trucks were waiting to cross into Ukraine. This was reported to UNN by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.
Demchenko answered the question whether there is a blockage of truck traffic on the border with Slovakia.
"No. As of the morning there were about 400 trucks in the direction of the Uzhhorod-Vysne Nemecke checkpoint towards Ukraine in Slovakia," said the SBGS spokesman.
Addendum
The Slovak Ministry of Transport does not support blocking the border with Ukraine, promising consultations with the country's Interior Ministry to prevent such a protest.
Context
There have been two attempts to block the checkpoint adjacent to Ukraine's Uzhhorod checkpoint for trucks on the Slovak border. This happened after the start of a strike by Polish carriers at three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, where truck traffic is blocked.
