Slovakia did not officially inform Ukraine about the possible blocking of the border, and on the Slovak side, unknown persons blocked the movement of freight transport without any warning.

The Slovak side has not officially informed the Ukrainian side about the possible blockade of the border, nor whether Slovak truckers have joined the blockade of Polish truckers. UNN reports this with reference to the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

Details

It is reported that today, November 21, there may be delays in the clearance at the Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod checkpoint on the border with Slovakia. This is primarily due to the fact that unidentified persons on the Slovak side blocked the movement of freight transport without any warning.

So far, the neighboring side has not officially informed the Ukrainian side about the possible blockade of the border, as well as whether Slovak truckers have joined the blockade of Polish truckers

- the report says.

The State Customs Service reminded that the day before, Slovak truckers had already blocked the international crossing for freight traffic.

Then they stated that if the European Commission does not regulate the introduction of permits for the transportation of Ukrainian trucks, they will also join the protest for an indefinite period, arguing that European companies cannot compete with them

 - the report says.

The State Customs Service called for taking this issue into account and choosing the nearest checkpoint to cross the border, either Chop-Zahony on the border with Hungary or Dyakove-Halmeu on the border with Romania.

Addendum

The State Border Guard Service reported that there are currently about 300 trucks in Slovakia in front of the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint heading to Ukraine.
