Slovak truckers are planning to block the Uzhhorod-Vysne Nemecke border crossing starting December 1 to protest against competition from Ukrainian carriers. They are waiting for a response from the Slovak Ministry of Transport before confirming their final decision.

It is noted that the Slovak action will lead to the closure of the Uzhhorod-Vysne Nemecke checkpoint, the only one on the border open to heavy trucks.
The head of UNAS said, that the truckers will wait for a response from Slovakia's Ministry of Transport until Thursday before making a a final decision.
He said that on December 4 December in Brussels will be a meeting of European transport ministers, but he does not have high hopes for it.
"It seems that neither the Ukrainian side nor the European Commission wants to back down," he said.

On November 6 Polish carriers began to physically block three of the four largest border crossings on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
