Details
During landing on the runway, there was a strong impact, after which a fire broke out in one of the engines. The plane belonged to the Russian airline Azimut.
The fire was noticed after the plane stopped on the runway.
The pilot and crew responded to the situation: passengers were evacuated using inflatable ladders, and Turkish firefighters quickly extinguished the fire that engulfed one of the plane's engines.
According to the passengers, a strong impact was felt during landing, which could have been the result of the left wing contacting the runway.
Reportedly, this could have caused a fuel leak, which probably caused the fire.
There were about 80 passengers on board, and all of them were successfully evacuated, leaving the plane with their luggage in hand. So far, it is known that there were no injuries among the passengers and crew.
At the same time, Azimut Airlines did not provide any official information or assistance to the passengers who were forced to leave the plane without further support.
