Russia is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine at any time, "from the point where they left off," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, as quoted by Russian media on Tuesday, reports UNN.

He added that the parameters of the settlement were discussed and agreed upon in Alaska almost a year ago. Then in Anchorage, US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin met.

It is reported that Lavrov also stated that US actions indicate that Washington is "moving away from the claim to the role of an objective mediator" in settling Russia's war against Ukraine.

"As for the United States, as far as one can assess their actions, they seem to be moving away from the claim to the role of an objective mediator and are adhering to the same course of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia," Lavrov said.

In addition, as Russian media indicate, Lavrov stated that Moscow is ready to "ensure the security" of Belarus. 

Lavrov here mentioned that since March 2025, an agreement between Russia and Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State has been in effect.

"And if necessary, we are ready to take the full range of measures provided for by the agreement to ensure the security of our ally and, of course, the security of the Union State," Lavrov said.
