German boxer, WBC interim heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel, who was supposed to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the WBC belt, reacted to the Ukrainian's decision to vacate all his championship belts. The German noted that Usyk's career is incredible. He wrote about this on Instagram, reports UNN.

He added that a true champion is defined by his actions both inside and outside the ring.

"Usyk won everything that could be won, fighting the best of the best and proving his greatness time and time again. By giving up the championship belts, he once again demonstrated his class. He is not holding back the development of the weight class — he is giving the next generation a chance. Of course, I dreamed of stepping into the ring with him someday, but I feel only respect for everything he has achieved. I wish him and his family all the best. WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk made a decision to vacate all his championship belts in the heavyweight division. However, according to the boxer, he is not leaving the sport.

Usyk secured a victory over Dutchman Rico Verhoeven in a bout that took place on May 24 in Egypt. The fight ended early at the end of the 11th round.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman stated that the current organization's heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, is obligated to defend the title against Agit Kabayel, otherwise he risks being left without the belt.
