After Manchester United's thrilling 2-1 victory over Manchester City, at the post-match press conference, Red Devils coach Ruben Amorim spoke about a leak from his locker room. Indeed, the day before the derby, the lineup was leaked to various English media. In particular, it became known about the Portuguese coach's unexpected decision to leave Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the game.
The leak of the team's lineup did not seem to affect United's success, as they managed to recover from the conceded goal and beat the champions 2-1 thanks to Amad Diallo's winning goal in the last minutes.
As for information leakage, Amorim said:
"I know this story. I don't know, I think it's impossible to solve it these days because there are a lot of people in the club, players talk to their agents... I don't know, you can talk to friends, so it's hard to know. It's not good, but let's move on and see if they find the next team to start with.
Obviously, the United manager realizes that he needs to solve this problem quickly and identify those who could undermine the unity of the club.
AddendumAddendum
After a long period of poor performances, the recent result shows that the Red Devils are starting to regain their competitive spirit, and Amorim is focusing on creating a strong identity within the club.
