A loud explosion occurred in Sevastopol in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Krymsky Vetr telegram channel reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"At 13.30 (12:30 - ed.) there was a loud explosion in Sevastopol," the message reads.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on December 26, tactical aviation of the Air Force attacked a large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet "Novocherkassk" near Feodosia with cruise missiles. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the damage to the ship in Feodosia.
Gumenyuk statedthat the large detonation at Novocherkassk indicates that there could have been a "Christmas gift" from Russia to Ukraine.
