According to the amendments, the primary assistance to Ukrainian residents who have arrived in Latvia for another year. This includes assistance with housing and food.
In addition, the amendments allow for the transfer of movable property, including cars owned by the Saeima or other official structures. This will require a corresponding decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Since mid-February, Latvian law has allowed the transfer to Ukraine of cars confiscated from drunk drivers. Local governments also have the right to to donate funds or property to a country repelling a Russian attack.
