According to the investigation, on April 3, around 18:20, the Russian armed forces launched a missile attack on the city of Merefa. The buildings of a civilian enterprise were damaged. A fire broke out.
Windows were smashed in the houses and roofs were damaged. A 55-year-old woman was injured.
According to preliminary data, the attack was carried out by an X-59MK anti-ship missile.
Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces.
"... a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office added.
