Keith Kellogg condemned Russia's large-scale attacks on Ukraine over Christmas, saying it should be a time of peace. During the attack, air defense systems shot down 113 of 184 enemy missiles and drones.
The future US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg condemned the actions of the Russian Federation, which today launched a large-scale attack on the territory of Ukraine and noted that Christmas should be a time of peace, not violent attacks. Kellogg wrote about this in the social network X, UNN reports.
"Christmas should be a time of peace, but Ukraine was brutally attacked on Christmas Day. It is wrong to launch large-scale missile and drone strikes on Christmas Day. The world is watching closely the actions of both sides. The United States is more determined than ever to bring peace to the region," Kellogg wrote.

Kurt Volker, who served in this position during Trump's first term , saidthat he considered this decision a "good choice.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed the preliminary date of the visit of Keith Kellogg, the special representative of US President-elect Trump. The visit will take place before Trump's inauguration, the exact date is not disclosed for security reasons.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban saidthat he had offered Ukraine a "Christmas truce" and a prisoner exchange, but, according to the Presidential Office, Ukraine had not been informed of such initiatives. The President's Office added that negotiations on the exchange of prisoners have been going on for two weeks and are not related to Orban's statements.
