Lockheed Martin's ER GMLRS long-range missile has completed qualification tests, reaching a range of 150 km, and is close to being adopted by the US Army.

Lockheed Martin's missiles with an extended range and designed for HIMARS systems, have passed a series of qualification tests in the United States. This is stated on the official website of the Lockheed Martin concern, reports UNN.

Details

The missile is called ER GMLRS and can fly at a distance of 150 km.

Each test brings the system closer to U.S. Army acceptance. the U.S. Army as it completes the final phase of development

the company notes.

It is alleged that the final tests took place at the White Sands Missile Range, and that these tests used both missiles with both alternative and unitary warheads.

During the tests, the ER GMLRS missiles were tested at different distances - both short and medium, as well as the maximum range, which should to be up to 150 km, compared to more than 80 km in the previous version of GMLRS.
