The Security Service of Ukraine has served blogger Myroslav Oleshko with a notice of suspicion for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion to blogger Myroslav Oleshko, who traveled abroad with a fake military medical certificate and calls on Ukrainians to hide from the draft. This was reported by the SBU, UNN reports. 

Details 

According to the case, the man illegally left Ukraine during the full-scale invasion and is engaged in information and subversive activities that harm the Armed Forces.

It was established that Oleshko, after confirming his fitness for military service and being called up to the military medical commission, left the territory of Ukraine in August 2023 on the basis of a forged certificate from the military medical commission. While abroad, he systematically publishes videos and posts in which he discredits conscription to the Armed Forces and calls on Ukrainians to evade military service

Addendum 

Oleshko has now been notified in absentia of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

- part 1 of Article 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations);

- part 4 of Article 358 (use of a knowingly forged document).

The SBU noted that the blogger faces up to 8 years in prison.
