Germany has sent a new military aid package to Ukraine, including three Cheetah anti-aircraft systems, 30,240 rounds of ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, and vehicles to strengthen Ukraine's security capabilities.

As part of a new military aid package from Germany, Ukraine has received Gepard anti-aircraft systems, ammunition and trucks. This was reported by UNN with reference to the German government.

It is noted that Ukraine received three Gepard anti-aircraft systems and 30,240 rounds of ammunition from Germany. In addition, Berlin handed over to Ukraine: 

  • 10 Vector UAVs;
  • Ammunition for Leopard 2A6;
  • 2 HX81 tractors;
  • 5 HX81 semi-trailers;
  • 8 Zetros trucks;
  • 2 WiSENT 1 MC demining machines;
  • 2 border guard vehicles;
  • 8 vehicles;
  • 2 AMPS communication protection systems for helicopters;
  • 2500 155 mm shells;
  • 25,536 40-mm shells for automatic grenade launchers.

It is noted that the supplies are made  from industry warehouses, financed by German funds to strengthen security capabilities. 

Some supplies need to be modernized or their production is ongoing. Training activities are also underway.

Addendum

According to the Ministry of Defense's report on the annual balance of military aid, 80 Marder tanks have already been delivered to Ukraine, and another 40 are planned to be financed . According to preliminary information from the federal government, 20 additional armored personnel carriers were promised.

Germany is providing an additional 88.5 million euros to help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure and promote the transition to green energy as part of a larger package of support for Ukraine worth 1.6 billion euros in 2023.
