The SBU is highly credible due to its achievements in 2023, including successful maritime drone operations that influenced the dominance of the Black Sea and the destruction of more than $2 billion worth of Russian military assets.

The SSU enjoys the highest level of trust among law enforcement agencies due to a number of achievements that the Service demonstrated in 2023. This opinion was expressed by former-MP, political scientist Oleksandr Chernenko and named the key achievements of the Service, reports UNN.  

The former MP praised the achievements of Vasyl Malyuk's subordinates in the in the fight on the Black Sea. "American professor Timothy Snyder considers the main victory for Ukraine in 2023. It was achieved thanks to the SBU maritime drones of the Security Service of Ukraine. Western experts emphasize that this development of the Service has changed the balance of power in the Black Sea. itself the master in the region, now has no control over the situation and has actually been forced to to withdraw a significant part of the fleet, and the ships of the black sea Fleet are constantly flying into the air," the expert emphasizes.  

The political scientist also focused on the successes of the Service at the front. "The cost of Russian equipment destroyed by SBU units (in particular, the fighters of the A special operations center) since the beginning of the war is  more than 2  billion dollars. In 2023  the Service destroyed more than 500 tanks alone. Among the destroyed tanks are the latest T-90 and T-90M, which cost almost $5 million each," the expert emphasizes.   

Chernenko also praised the SBU's fight against "agents in cassocks" and other traitors. "233 gunners are now awaiting a court sentence. 82 traitors are already serving long sentences. The SBU has taken up the topic that the state had been avoiding for 30 years and cleared the network of "agents in cassocks." THE UOC (MP) is an extensive network of agents that Russia has been building for many years. The SBU for the first time since independence has begun to systematically expose this network. The SBU is investigating more than 70 criminal proceedings against the clergy of the UOC-MP," the expert summarizes.  

Recently , the Democracy Now Foundation published a sociologicalstudywith with the results of 2023. Trust in the SBU is at its highest level ever Independence - 71%.
