Finland increases aid to Ukraine by EUR 95 million

The government proposes to increase the upper limit of procurement for the Defense Forces of Ukraine by 95.7 million euros. procurement for the Ukrainian Defense Forces for the period 2024-2028 to cover the cost of a new set of equipment for Ukraine.
At the same time, expenditures for 2024 will increase by 20.7 million euros. million euros, bringing the mandate ceiling to 1.451 trillion euros.

Also in the context of preparing a plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine, the government of has identified financial solutions to facilitate the participation of Finnish companies in reconstruction, for which it requests an increase of 25 million euros in spending on investment and lending in Ukraine.
At the same time, the draft budget amendments propose to authorize the state to provide a guarantee of compensation for losses to cover 80% of the cost of of investments, up to a maximum of EUR 20 million.
The government also asks the parliament to authorize the Ministry of Labor and and Economy to compensate for credit losses on export guarantees provided to promote exports and investments in Ukraine, for up to 50million euros. million euros.
