According to Astra, citing a source in the region's emergency services, two drones hit the 500 kV Kubanskaya substation in Tikhoretsk.
The attack caused a fire and damaged the air circuit breakers. There were allegedly no casualties.
Residents of Tychoretsk also reported in a regional chat that they heard 2 "pops" at night. The local authorities did not report an attack on Tychoretsk
Astra writes that the 500 kV Kubanskaya substation was built in 2010. It provides electricity to 2.5 million residents of the central and southwestern districts of the Krasnodar region, as well as industrial enterprises on the Taman Peninsula, the Abinsky Electrometallurgical Plant, commercial and passenger ports on the Black Sea coast, and oil transportation facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
