Due to a cyberattack on Ukrzaliznytsia, online ticket sales are unavailable. Ticket sales are carried out only at ticket offices for the next two days, queues are minimized to 15 minutes.

"Ukrzaliznytsia" continues to deal with the consequences of the cyber attack, due to which it is now impossible to order tickets online. Tickets for all trains are sold at the box office exclusively for the next 2 days: March 24 and 25. Also, the waiting time in the queue has been minimized to 10-15 minutes at the country's largest stations. This was reported by the press service of "UZ", reports UNN.

The restoration of key systems from backup copies is underway: this takes time, as a thorough diagnosis and identification of possible vulnerabilities is carried out. The key ticket sales system, on which all cash desks operate, withstood the attack and remained operational. Therefore, our cash desks, stations and train crews are passing through peak evening hours in maximum readiness. Tickets for all trains are sold at the box office exclusively for the next 2 days: March 24 and 25

- reported in “UZ”.

The company noted that this will allow to properly manage the queue, as well as ensure priority ticketing for military personnel and other categories of passengers with urgent travel. Currently, the waiting time in the queue has been minimized to 10-15 minutes at the country's largest stations.

Let us remind

In Kyiv, the number of open ticket offices at railway stations was increased twice. In particular, there are currently 13 ticket offices operating at the Central Railway Station of the capital. However, demand remains high, and queues continue to be very long.

According to cyber security expert Kostyantyn Korsun, this is not the first attack by cybercriminals on Ukrzaliznytsia services, but the company's management has not drawn any conclusions from this.

Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that due to a cyber attack on Ukrzaliznytsia services, online ticket sales are temporarily unavailable. The company increased the number of ticket offices at stations, especially in Kyiv, to reduce queues.

Two additional cars have been added to the Kyiv-Chernivtsi train.
