Starting from January 2, 78 collection points for eco-friendly recycling of Christmas trees will be opened in Kyiv. The collected trees will be processed into wood chips for mulching the holes of young trees.

"Starting January 2, New Year's tree collection points will start operating in Kyiv. This year, the city has increased their number to 78," KCSA said in a post on social media.
The collected fir and pine trees will be eco-friendly for further use in the city's green economy. They are chopped into wood chips and subsequently used to mulch the holes of young trees.
Only live trees without decorative ornaments are accepted for recycling.
