In recent weeks, Russian troops have suffered very high casualties, especially in the offensive on Avdiivka in Donbas, with average daily losses reaching 931 people. March 2023 was previously the deadliest month with an average of 776 casualties per day.

The last six weeks were probably one of the deadliest for Russian troops in the entire war against Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defense said in a new intelligence report, UNN reports.

The past six weeks have probably seen one of the highest rates of Russian casualties in the entire war. The significant losses are largely due to Russia's offensive on Avdiivka in Donbas,

according to British intelligence.

As noted in the British Ministry of Defense report, during November 2023, Russian losses, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, averaged 931 people per day. Previously, the deadliest month for Russia was March 2023, with an average of 776 casualties per day, at the height of the Russian assault on Bakhmut.

"Although military intelligence cannot verify the methodology, given the total number of killed and wounded, the figures are quite plausible," the British Ministry of Defense noted.
