A British 25-year-old British medical volunteer Catherine Melnychuk, who worked in Ukraine, was found dead in her home in Kyiv. The cause of death is currently unknown, reports. Project Konstantin, according to UNN.

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Katherine Melnychuk... All we know is that she was found in her bed this morning (December 24, 2023), the cause of her death is not considered suspicious at this stage. Additional information will be released by the authorities later
The community has announced a fundraiser to repatriate Melnychuk to the UK.

The Sun reports that Melnychuk grew up in southeast London and went to school near Orpington. She has been volunteering in Ukraine for the past 18 months, working in logistics and as a combat medic across the country.
