Applicants for bachelor's degree in Ukraine decreased by one third

In 2024, 189.7 thousand people applied for bachelor's degrees, which is 32.81% less than in 2023. The total number of applications submitted was 714,830, of which 707,166 were electronic and 7,664 were paper applications.
The number of applicants to bachelor's degree programs this year amounted to 189.7 thousand, which is one-third less than last year, according to the Unified State Electronic Database on Education of the State Enterprise "Inforesource," UNN reports.

According to the available data, this year 707,166 electronic applications were submitted by 184,311 people, and 7,664 paper applications were submitted by 5,404 people. That is, a total of 189 715 people applied.
In 2023, according to the database, 820,049 electronic applications were submitted for bachelor's degree by 250,412 people and 36,661 paper applications by 31,962 people. Or 282 374 people in total.
Thus, in 2024, the number of applicants for a bachelor's degree decreased by 32.81%.
