As a result of sharp warming in Altai Krai there was severe flooding: more than 600 homestead plots were under water, 90 houses were damaged, 70 people, including 22 children, were evacuated to accommodation centers, as melt water quickly flooded several settlements.

The Altai Territory of Russia was flooded due to a sharp warming, more than 600 homestead plots were under water. The region has introduced a state of emergency. About it UNN reports with reference to Telegram-channel Baza.

"Too warm spring has become a problem for Altai Krai. Melt water is rapidly drowning the houses of local residents: about 90 houses and 600 homestead plots in nine settlements have already been affected. Eight road sections have been blocked," the report says.

People had to be evacuated: 70 people, including 22 children, are now in two accommodation centers. At the same time, seven more centers are ready.

It is noted that the worst situation is in Rubtsovsk, Mikhailovsky and Shipunovsky districts. It is possible to move there only by swimming. In the Yarovoye area, the ground has fallen several meters, presumably also due to waterlogging. Operational groups are working in the region: 234 people and 92 units of equipment.
