Almost 2,000 children have returned to Ukraine through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka checkpoint in 5 months, reports Deputy Prime Minister Vereshchuk.

Over the 5 months of operation of the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka checkpoint in Sumy region, almost 2,000 children have been returned to Ukraine. This was stated by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, the Ministry of Reintegration reports, according to UNN.

According to Vereshchuk, almost 2,000 children have returned to Ukraine through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka checkpoint. Among them were both status children and those who had already reached the age of majority.

Ms. Vereshchuk noted that the primary factor in this case is one's own desire. She cited the example of the successful return of 18-year-old Bohdan Yermokhin.
