Even more long-range artillery for the Defense Forces — we are starting the procurement of a new large-scale batch of 155-mm rounds

- Fedorov noted.

According to him, "long-range 155-mm artillery rounds remain one of the main requests from the front. That is why, on the task of the Ministry of Defense, the Defense Procurement Agency DOT announces a new competitive tender for the purchase of 155-mm artillery rounds of increased range."

Fedorov informed that all manufacturers and suppliers whose products meet the specified requirements can participate. For security reasons, the procedure will take place in a closed environment.

The new tender for long-range rounds is a continuation of the systemic reform of defense procurement. We are gradually transitioning defense procurement to competitive tender procedures to create transparent rules, minimize corruption risks, and use budget funds more efficiently.

- emphasized Fedorov.

He noted that "the first result of this approach was the Agency's largest procurement of long-range 155-mm artillery shells. Thanks to this, it was possible to additionally purchase tens of thousands of shells for the Defense Forces."

"Our goal is to gradually transition all categories of defense procurement to competitive tender procedures where possible. This will allow for more efficient use of state funds, minimize corruption risks, and provide the Defense Forces with a greater quantity of necessary weapons," explained Fedorov.

"On the President's instructions, we are systematically reforming defense procurement so that every hryvnia of the defense budget yields maximum results for the Defense Forces," added Fedorov.
