Dmytro Lubinets reported the return of 160 Ukrainian servicemen from Russian captivity, among them fighters of the "Azov" regiment and officers. Almost all of those released have been in captivity since 2022, the oldest of them is 66 years old.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported that during today's exchange, it was possible to return military personnel who had been held captive by the Russian Federation since 2022. Lubinets reported this on Telegram, UNN reports.

Ukrainian state authorities managed to free 160 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. These are warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Territorial Defense Forces, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Special Transport Service, and the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy. Among those released are fighters of "Azov", including officers. Our Defenders were part of motorized infantry, assault, airborne, airmobile, rifle, artillery, and aviation troops, as well as the marine corps. The peculiarity of this return is that almost 99% of those released were captured in 2022. They spent over 4 years in the most difficult conditions of detention
He noted that many of those returned are senior officers. In total, during this exchange, it was possible to return 58 officers.
Also at home are seven defenders who will celebrate their birthdays in June, and two of them had their holiday two days ago.
The oldest of those returned is 66 years old, the youngest is 26 years old. Another small detail: the list includes 21 people who share the same surnames. That is, there are two or three namesakes
