According to the prime minister, the new acting head has specific tasks: ensuring the coordinated and uninterrupted operation of the STS, fulfilling state budget revenue plans, improving and simplifying tax administration, enhancing cooperation with businesses, and maintaining an open dialogue with taxpayers.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Yurii Koniushenko has extensive experience in public finance, tax policy, and tax administration. He devoted a significant part of his professional career to working at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In particular, from 2010 to 2015, Yurii Koniushenko worked in structural units of the Ministry of Finance responsible for administering tax payments and shaping tax policy, holding, among others, the positions of chief economist-financier of the Tax and Other Payments Administration Division, deputy head of the Income and Property Taxation Division, and head of the Personal Income Tax Division.
In 2020, Yurii Koniushenko returned to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine as Director of the Department for Ensuring the Coordination and Monitoring Work of the Ministry of Finance.
