"YouTube blocked 12 channels in Ukraine that spread Kremlin narratives and support the Russian army. The channels of certain individuals subject to sanctions imposed by the National Security and Defense Council have also been blocked," the post says.

According to the CCD, the blocked channels support the war and Putin, assist the Russian army, and promote Russian propaganda narratives.

In particular, the following channels were blocked:

  • Russian actor Vitaliy Gogunsky;
    • the “Blizkiye Lyudi” foundation, which raises funds for the Russian army;
      • Russian journalist Dmitry Borisenko;
        • a former Ukrainian member of parliament subject to sanctions;
          • Russian military correspondent Vladimir Romanov;
            • Russian writer and propagandist German Sadulaev;
              • the propagandist channel “Military Outlook” and others.

                "The blocked channels spread narratives beneficial to the Kremlin or direct Russian propaganda, justify the war, and support the Kremlin’s policies. The Center for Countering Disinformation will continue working to stop the activities of pages belonging to sanctioned individuals and hubs of hostile propaganda in the digital space," the post says.
