Israel has begun installing anti-drone nets on military equipment during fighting in Lebanon, following practices actively used in Ukraine and Russia. This was reported by Defense Express, according to UNN.

According to the publication, Hezbollah militants are increasing their use of FPV drones, forcing the Israel Defense Forces to adapt their equipment protection. Footage has appeared online showing an Israeli HMMWV equipped with a lightweight structure made of nets designed to prevent a direct drone hit or its detonation.
Similar solutions are already widely used on the battlefield in Ukraine, where the mass use of drones has forced the military to seek simple and effective ways to increase the survivability of equipment.
Limitations of this approach
At the same time, the Israeli designs appear lighter compared to the more massive cage systems used in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Furthermore, the open design of some vehicles can leave military personnel vulnerable, even if the vehicle itself is protected from a direct strike.
Global trend
Experts note that Ukraine's experience is already influencing the tactics of other armies. Due to the proliferation of FPV drones, countries are looking for affordable means of protection, as electronic warfare systems are not always effective and active protection systems remain expensive.
It is expected that such solutions will increasingly appear in various armies around the world.
