Ukraine is currently not showing interest in the MiG-29 fighter jets that are in service with Poland. This was stated by Poland's Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Zalewski in an interview with RMF FM, reports UNN.

Commenting on the possible transfer of the aircraft to Kyiv, the official noted that the Ukrainian side is counting on more modern capabilities for these fighters.
"I am convinced that the Ukrainians would like these MiGs to be adapted to more modern combat conditions,"
According to him, an additional factor is the lack of agreements regarding the financing of a possible modernization of the aircraft. Negotiations are also ongoing regarding cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the field of unmanned technologies.
"These negotiations are not yet completed. This is more of an industry issue rather than a Ministry of Defense one,"
